Cheddables
Yabba-dabba-delicious!
What you need:
| 2 cups(500 mL) |
 |
all-purpose flour |
| 4 tsp (20 mL) |
baking powder |
| 1 tsp (5 mL) |
salt |
| 1/3 cup (75 mL) |
butter |
|
1-1/2 cups (375mL)
|
shredded Cheddar cheese |
| 1 cup (250 mL) |
milk |
What to do:
Combine flour, baking powder and salt
in large bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or
two knives until crumbly. Stir in cheese. Add milk
all at once, stirring to make a soft dough. Drop dough
by spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at
400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until light golden
brown colour. Serve warm.
Makes about 12 biscuits.
